Now normally I would be excited by a 24 oz. bottle of Corona, but not when my coffee pot only holds 4 cups! And I'm not talking 4 regular cups, I'm talking 4 itty bitty teenie tiny cups! This is crazy! Who in the world uses a 4 cup coffee pot? Thats not a coffee pot, thats a coffee cup with a lid! Ironically it takes longer to brew that mini pot of coffee than it does to brew my mega 12 cup Bunn-Omatic. And it wasn't just like that in the first hotel... EVERY dang hotel that we stopped at along the way to Kentucky and back again had that Oompa Loompa coffee pot. One more reason never to leave home again!

BIG BEER, LITTLE COFFEE

Yeah, those tiny little motel coffee pots say four cups, but it turns out to be two. And I drink three myself, in the morning. Where does that leave my husband?

ReplyDeletewhen it was just me, myself and I, a "four-cup" drip coffee maker was just the thing to get started. One cup before the shower and the second in the car as I drove to work ... where I then made the first of many 12 cup pots the office would go through in a day's time. I easily drank one or two myself. But that "itty bitty java titty" was just the thing to get me out the door and off to someplace that had MORE coffee available.

Hi Dorn..most of the time the coffee in the motels taste like rebrewed dishwater..so they probably figure no one wants more than 1/2 pot. When Joe has to work out of town, he takes his own "pot" & coffee with him (when he's driving)....you must of been jonsing for a good cup of java....Sandi...
