hiccup-otamus
I learned a new word today from Rocky. The word is 'hiccupotamus', which is what you get if you have the hiccups for longer than a week. I also learned a new way of measuring a week. No longer is it 7 days. Now, or at least in the case of the rare 'hiccupotamus' malady, a week is 24 hours, which is exactly how long Rocky's week long affliction of hiccups has lasted. The poor kid can't even complete a sentence without hiccuping at least once. (Don't you just hate when that happens?)

Rocky should rewrite the dictionary. She has the best words.

Hey Dorn,
Does Rocky know about the drink a glass of water backwards trick? In other words, hold a glass of water in your hand. Normally you put your lips on the rim of the glass that is closest to your mouth. Well, instead put your lips on the rim on the opposite side of the glass. Note: your lower lip will be on the inside of the glass, and your top lip will be on the outside of the glass. Now drink the water.
It will feel weird but it works for me every time!

Oh boy, that doesn't feel good at all..the only way to stop them really is to change your rate of breathing. I don't want to scare you but it is not good for this to go too long, if it doesn't stop soon please check with a doctor....Sandi http://journals.aol.com/sdoscher458/LifeIsFullOfSurprises
How awful. Dad had hiccups for several days. The doctor told him to take motion sickness med's. Over the counter stuff. It worked really quick. Maybe that would help Rocky.
Hugs, R.C.
I do hate it, but man is it funny to watch those people get frustrated. I know, I know....Karma and all that, but still!
Peace and love,
Charley
