Okay, there, are you happy? I've already given the country my first born son, what more do you want? Actually I offered my second and third born sons as well as both daughters but our tax preparer just laughed at the time. I don't think he took the offer seriously back then and gave us the bill instead.
So here it is, almost 2006 and we're still paying back taxes for 2004. I am trying to comprehend why I am having to work and earn an income (which is also taxable) so that I can afford to pay taxes on my past income. I think its about time for another tea party.

Hi Dorn,
Ah the joys of taxes. And how do we benefit from those taxes? There is much talk these days of job outsourcing and how people are losing their jobs because of it.
But do you know that the Federal Government gives out contracts to construction companies for highway building and repair? And that those companies are allowed to buy foreign made heavy equipment to do the work with? In effect, you are paying your tax money to support heavy equiptment manufacturing jobs in Japan, Korea and China but not here in the United States.
Not only is this happening at the Federal government level but your state is also spending your tax money for Asian made heavy equiptment as is your county and local cities. This is happening everywhere in the United States. We are in effect, paying the executioner ourselves for our own execution.
The only way to change this is by writing to your local, state and federal represenatives and telling them to change the government policies. If enough people become aware and enough people write or call we can make a change.
Every voice counts.
