My tummy hurts.... bad! I had some chicken fajita chowder for supper last night. I loved it then. But not now. So this morning I'm sitting where I sit every time my stomach doesn't approve of my choice of sustainence from the night before and I'm looking for things to do because I know I'm not going anywhere for a while. Not to worry, I have a little drawer of fun in the vanity next to the toilet. I pull the drawer open, YES! The kids haven't snatched my pocket Yahtzee! I have enough time to play 2 games with a high score of 383.
Someone online accused me (in fun) of being the Anti-Domestic-Diva, breezing through life with dust in my hair and grease smeared on my rose-colored glasses. Its funny because the more this kid went on, the more I was starting to think... Yeah, I'm a Slob and I'm proud of it, because I wear my mess with pride! I don't nit-pick over a spotless house, I let someone else do the work and give them the credit for I am considerate and modest. I don't do today what really doesn't need to be done without a court order. Save for a rainy day? Never! With my luck it would rain, then flood and I'd be stuck in the house with nothing so spend now while the weather's good! And why cook a made-from-scratch, 6 course meal for the family when we can have Take-out, or TV dinners and support the food-service industry employees who work so hard to manufacture and supply us with these ready to serve products. Their families need to eat as well, so I buy their products to insure they have a decent paycheck. I am compassionate and I support my local economy. With Martha behind bars, someone must lead the world of Domesticity. Who better than ME!
I am Dornbrau, and I approve this message.
Just thought I'd mention that I'm deleting the previous days entries for the 13 Days of Halloween as I go along so nobody's computer gets bogged down with all the graphics.

JUST THOUGHT I WOULD ASK ,,,,,,,DID YOU MAKE THAT FAJITA CHOWDER OR , WAS IT CANNED? MAN, THAT SOUNDED GOOOOD!!
I AM STILL SITTING HERE LAUGHING ABOUT THE YAHTZEE GAME!! TOO FUNNY!!

All hail Queen Dorn!!!! I hate cleaning! I am a slob, I confess.
Oh I couldn't resist commenting!!! I've been lurking for awhile and truly enjoy your journal! The "pocket Yahtzee" got me!! I have one and I carry it with me in the car for those moments of endless waiting for my kids. On the subject of take-out...almost every fast food drive through knows my name! They see me coming and welcome me with open arms. :)
You are just too funny!

Well I am just as messy, altough I must admitt I like to get ready fro the day, or at leats feel pretty, but if i'm not doing anything special I'll sit in my pajamas, take a shower n relax all day sewing, knitting, anything that keeps me busy, and then go to bed.... Yeah my husband compared my apartment to a crack heads who has just given up on life, yeah I admitt, i did give up....at that time, but just for a while. Heck last weekend I had people over, n my dishes were piled up for like a week, n the trash wasn't throw (did I mention my son is still in diapers) but heck I hadn't been home too much to actually clean...just make messes ; ). My little cousins friend clean on Sat. nite, n the next day my cousin clean, I have it maid I mean made : D JP Heck i love to do make up, its a hobby for me, i like to make over people, n help them out with house hold chores, so if U ever need anybody, i'm a Coloradian too. Anyway I can't get your sistuation with your sons Girlfriend off of my mind, I just hope she contacts you, n I Pray that ur son isn't lonely n concentrating on that with worry.....Well i hope U do keep us posted...... did she leave a forwarding adress? I have a friend whose daughters Mom kid napped her kids n ran off ot another state, he found her through the post office......and now he gets to see his daughter again. Actually has custody...but thats another story.
How dare someone say that to you. We like you just the way you are.

My theory on housekeeping is that as long as it's basically clean (i.e. the Health Department isn't coming <g>) I don't mind cluttered! My SO used to be a neat freak, but I fixed him <eg>. Sounds like you would be right at home at our place. I love your journal, you always make me laugh!
i used to keep a spotless house .. it bordered on obsession i suppose .. then one day i read this comment (probably in readers digest) by a woman who kept an orderly house and suddenly she realized her priorities were off since she doubted anybody was going to write on her tombstone "she kept a clean house" ..
i only clean the parts that show now lol
hope your tummy is feeling better
