My brother-in-law Jay was also unable to hold his children in his arms this Father's Day. It was a big sacrifice for any parent to make to send their children off to the other end of the continent for several weeks and I feel deeply for my sister-in-law and her husband but I know it is for the best under the circumstances. I, on the other hand, would joyfully send my children to any relative who was naive enough to volunteer to take them. Unfortunately no such relatives exist any more. All of my relatives have met my spawn. There are no volunteers.
Do you know how hard it is to get a pack of Oompa Loompas to smile for a camera? I don't. 800 exposures later and I have still not gotten a shot where all 7 of the children are smiling serenely for the camera. This picture was taken at Rampart Range Reservoir. No, the Loompas didn't really build the shelter although I did threaten to leave them there if they didn't behave.

That is a wonderful picture and a wonderful moment there when you "meet" your child. I know you are proud. I love the reserve you and the oompa lompas s/p were at it is beautiful and like you there are no volunteers to take my monsters as they have all met them too, lol. Brandy

There is at least one if not more relatives willing to take "Your Spawn" off your hands for awhile. Just put them on a Kon Tiki type raft with plenty of food and water and set them into the ocean when a westerly current is prevalent and we'll be waiting for them here in Hawaii.
DOD (Dear old Dad) is on the go most days and would welcome company to the beach we refer to as Carla's Beach. It is 99.99% vacant most days and the Ooompa Loompas would have the beach to themselves with plenty of space to share. We go there every Wednesday for sure and sometimes two to three times.
Consider this your invitation all you Oompa Loompas.
Oh yeah, bring bathing suits and sun screen.
