CHECK IT OUT!

One of my "Letters To Gabe" was quoted in a Courier-Journal.com article in Louiseville, Kentucky by James Malone.  How cool is that?!

That was not only just a wonderful letter, it gave me such insight into the way you live your life with your son in Iraq.  My oldest daughter is 17, graduating high school and going off to college in Sept.  I keep wondering how I will handle her being away from home.  Now I know that when I start to get really sad and weepy...I will think of you and of Gabe.  Having a safe daughter away at school won't seem bad at all then.

Please thank him so much for protecting and defending our country.  No matter what people's opinions are of the war in general, I know everyone supports the men and women who are over there.

Dorn some parents find it hard to talk to their kids, even when they are grown...you have a way of writing your words to the heart of the issue and your words are heartfelt, true and meaningful...Sandi

"Dorn"-
I read this in the paper and have thought of you since. I read your's and Gabe's  blog daily and pray for you both. I live in Glens Fork, KY and know some Guardsmen also. I can't imagine what you must go through, but know that we all support you and your family and Gabe and his fellow soliders. I personally would like to say a big thank you to all of them for what they are doing for every person in the USA.

Thank you for sharing your love, humor and sometimes sadness with us!! May God bless Gabe and all the soliders for the tremendous work that they do. May God bless you and keep you comforted while Gabe is away.
