I tried that new Coke yesterday, Coca Cola BlāK. You know the one, with a shot of coffee? My conclusion.... there's a lot of things that taste good in Coke, like Bacardi for instance. But coffee? Nope! Do you folks remember the New Coke some years back? That was a dud, and this BlāK blek isn't much better. I even tried dressing it up with a little rum, kind of like a Black Russian but that turned out to be a complete waste of alcohol.
Everyone is starting to put fruits and other flavors in their sodas. Cherry Coke (hey, isn't that what Dr. Pepper is basically?) Berry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (huh?), Lime Pepsi, Fruit 7-Up.
And that's not the only thing that is crossing over into other flavors. Have you tried Dill Pickle potato chips? Fish tacos? Green tea chewing gum. Are we as a society really that bored with our current standard flavors that we have to go inventing new ones just so we have something new to try and dislike? Cattle were happy for centuries eating the same old grass flavored grass. Then humans come along, mixed up a batch of special cow-chow complete with high protein additives like ground up cow by products and shazaam! We've just invented Mad Cow! I for one am not afraid to admit that when it comes to food, 'good' is good enough for me. I don't need 'new and improved' if the product was good to begin with.
I love Coke, I love coffee, but I don't like BlāK. Sorry Coke, but you should just stick to The Real Thing. Leave the coffee to Starbucks.

Must agree on coffee, love coffee in the mornin', so strong the spoon almost melts! Not a fan of coke, unless it has some sort of alcohol with it....the real thing!
Overhere in england we get sprout flavoured coke, broccoli 7up and cheese flavoured coffee....only kidding, although I wouldnt put it passed one of these drinks to surface at some point in the future. I think I'll stick to my fish flavoured teabags and snot biscuits thankyou very much!

Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper is actually pretty good and I liked vanilla coke there for awhile too. But some of the flavors do get a bit odd. Have you ever checked out Jones soda? Now that company comes up with some really odd flavors.
I agree with you. Good is good enough. I haven't tried that coke flavor, I think I'll take your word for it and just leave it at that.
Hugs, R.C.
I remember cherry coke from 1945 and I remember coffee when it was just plain coffee. Good enough for me then; good enough for me now. Give me the good old days and stop trying to invent the wheel. It's already been invented people!
Got that?...............Good, now bring on the coffee.
Dear Ole Dad
back when i was a kid.. that's before can soda.. they only had bottle soda.. anyway most soda's were still from a "fountain" in luncheonettes.. they did have cherry coke (by mixing the syrups in front of you) and vanilla coke.. what was good about them is you could have just one "for a change" and not have to bring home a six or twelve pack just to find out you didn't like it!..
OH GEEEEEEZ, now I'm all riled ... LEAVE COKE ALONE ! ! ! Dorn, I am really surprised that you would stoop low enough to even TRY this new take on coke.
HI Dear Ole Dad!
I don't like coffee at all. I'm a pepsi person. I do like coke with Bacardi in it. LOL.
I tried the beer with caffiene, thinking it would keep me up so I could drink more, but it was so gross I couldn't choke it downQ
