It was cold when I woke up this morning. I had a tug of war for the blankets with Dickidoo. I won. Or maybe he just got out of bed to get ready for work. At any rate, I ended up with all of the blankets. It was nice, until I had to get up and get the kids ready for school.
The mist is thick in the air today and is blocking my view of the mountains. I love misty mornings. 'Nipply weather' I call it. Keeps me perky! If it stays like this all day I'll have an excuse to have one of the guys get a fire going in the den. I'm just waiting for the snow. Oh, its still too early for it at my altitude, but soon... it won't be long.
Dickidoo scored us some tickets to the Styx/Reo Speedwagon concert on the 3rd. Rocky will be at camp with her class so she won't get to go, and Zack is working, so we're just taking Art and Becca. Becca says its 'old people music', but I think she'll enjoy it anyhow. Besides, its her birthday. Maybe we'll get her a tanktop with a geriatric, oldies and moldies rock band on the front for her present. She'll love it! If not, she can give it to me.
Well, time to resume testing on my theory of telekenetic domesticity. I'm checking to see how long one must 'think' about washing dishes while concentrating on a stack of dirty pots and pans before the dishes actually move and clean themselves. Its already passed the 24 hour period with no results, but I have a good feeling about today.
(thanks Lahoma for the little mouse!)

That last paragraph cracks me up. If you get the hang of it, pass the secret on. While I may have failed in many other areas of my housekeeping since moving back home, I am still picky about my dishes being done. Dirty dishes here tend to draw in the cockroaches and I am petrified of them, so I do all I can to make sure the kitchen is clean before I go to bed. Wish I was there to see the first snowfall this year. You will have to enjoy it for me and take some photos for me.
God knows how I so miss living there. I still listen to the 70's music. Keeps me young! ::wink:: Imagine my surprise when I went into Wal-Mart and found it in the oldies section! Humpph!
Blessings!~

I love REO Speedwagon! We saw them at Billy Bobs in Fort Worth about a year ago. They still sound great - just as good as they did when the music first came out and I was in high school. My daughters dont seem to share the aprreciation of their music, but what do they know?? haha
I've been reading your journals for awhile and love it. Two comments first my sister-in-law is in Iraq with the Army and has a laptop so she is able to email quit often. I also have two of my sons friends going over there in Oct (their only 19). I don't have a son there but I can sort of relate to your worries but just not on the same level as your family. An I just saw REO Speedwagon and Styx here in Phoenix last Sat. They were great. I saw them a couple of years ago with Journey. You'll love it.
