HEAD ACHE

I think I hard boiled my brain yesterday.  My head feels like it is going to burst any second.  It hurts.... right there on the top, a little to the right... yeah, right.... THERE!  I'm sitting here typing, with my head tilted a little to the right as if the angle would help to relieve some of the pressure.  I don't think it does, it still hurts no matter how I hold my head, but at least this way I feel like I'm doing something constructive.  Must remember to wear a hat next time.

The Oompas are looking for things to irritate me.  Why do kids do that?  Becca and Rocky were pretending to talk on a walkie talkie, complete with sound effects (keeeeek- 'over' - keeeeeeek).  For 2 hours their entire conversation, including a couple of arguments, were done entirely in two-way radio lingo (keeeeek  'over'  keeeeek)  They eventually got bored when I ignored them and searched for something else to irritate me with.

Schleck!

Actually that was Art and Rocky just a few moments ago.  I hate the sound of someone chewing with their mouth open.  They know this and when I requested that they stop slopping their jaw, they chewed louder.  Okay, I'll fix them....

"You sound like the Mother Alien... giving birth.'  I announced.  Art was immediately grossed out and promptly quit.  Rocky persisted until she started laughing and began to choke on her acid spit.  Ahhhh, peace and quiet.

Good, because with a headache the size of the one I have right now I just might do something with a roll of duct tape that only another parent could appreciate.

Get a wash cloth and wet it with the hottest water you can stand and plop it across your face.  Keep rewarming it.  It'll feel at least a little better...  :)

ouchie.. i know this headache you have... generally I take 4 (yes 4) advil and then lay down and don't move for about 1/2 hr... that generally takes care of it.

thankfully I have no more teens..heh.. but I did once, so I can't say "neener" atcha..

a few hints:  loud music right now won't help.
Neither will ice cold ice cream!

I hope this helps.... uhhuhright.

I was there this am.  Thanfully, the trolls (as I lovingly call mine) stayed away and let me have about 30 minutes until the headache started to subside... they even brought me coffee... yup fear and duct tape can do wonders!

be well,
Dawn

Advil~ start with three and resume taking them until the headache is gone~

I'm sure there are leaves fallen outside that need to be picked up one by one and bagged...... or grass to cut with sissors.... that might keep them busy for a while. Maybe? No? Humm... I have goats to clip but then they would complain about the places they have hair... watch for my next post. :-)

I am sorry about your headache but be careful with that duct tape!  When my girls were teenagers, they taped each other up in the back seat of the truck-well someone followed us to a store and when we came out there was a police car waiting.  Both girls were no longer taped and the officer laughed but it was certainly embarassing for a few minutes (now it is just funny!)

LOLOLOL.  I love when the kids fight like cats and dogs and feel they must involve you to the point you want to throttle them both.  I find myself counting to 10 alot when they do that.  I just wanted to share with you something I read in my local paper. The small article stated that there will be a Teen Duct Tape Workshop at a local library.  I was sitting at the pool reading the paper when I read that.  All supplies will be there at the library.  I cracked up.  I might be tempted to trek my teenage son there just to see what the heck the Duct Tape Workshop will produce!
Just some humor for you.  It's nice to catch up in J-land and see your entries.  Have a great day!
Hugs,
Gina
