CHOCOLATE HOLIDAYS!

Yesterday was Chocolate Day, according to my AOL Calendar's Wacky Holidays.  Unfortunately my family, knowing how important this celebration is to me... chose not to celebrate it.  I was somewhat pacified by a viewing of Dead Man's Chest with Johnny Depp (who is actually 'eye candy'), and a satisfying lunch at Albertaco's (best Mexican food this side of the border), Rocky did share her Kit Kat bar she bought with money she borrowed from me, and Becca bought me a Mounds bar the day before, but I still felt disappointed in not truly observing the most delectable holiday on the calendar.

Until I pulled up a link of Bizarre Holidays and found that every month has a Chocolate holiday of some sort, and National Milk Chocolate Day is actually just a couple of weeks away!  Woo hoo!  There are also many other wonderful holidays coming up.  For instance today is National Video Game, and tomorrow is National Sugar Cookie Day.  Here is a list of what is still in store for the rest of the month.

July 8 is . . . . . Video Games Day

July 9 is . . . . . National Sugar Cookie Day

July 10 is . . . . Clerihew Day

July 11 is . . . . National Cheer Up The Lonely Day

July 12 is . . . . National Pecan Pie Day

July 13 is . . . . Fool's Paradise Day

July 14 is . . . . National Nude Day

July 15 is . . . . National Tapioca Pudding Day and Respect Canada Day

July 16 is . . . . International Juggling Day

July 17 is . . . . National Peach Ice Cream Day

July 18 is . . . . National Ice Cream Day and National Caviar Day

July 19 is . . . . Flitch Day

July 20 is . . . . Ugly Truck Contest Day

July 21 is . . . . National Tug-Of-War Tournament Day

July 22 is . . . . Ratcatcher's Day

July 23 is . . . . National Vanilla Ice Cream Day

July 24 is . . . . Amelia Earhart Day

July 25 is . . . . Threading The Needle Day

July 26 is . . . . All Or Nothing Day

July 27 is . . . . Take Your Pants For A Walk Day

July 28 is . . . . National Milk Chocolate Day (Woo Hoo!  Not gonna miss this one!)

July 29 is . . . . Cheese Sacrifice Purchase Day

July 30 is . . . . National Cheesecake Day

July 31 is . . . . Parent's Day

Being as I'm not much of a video game player I think I'll skip today's holiday in favor of baking some sugar cookies for tomorrow's celebration.

Thanks for sharing that list!  My son is celebrating Video Game day right now.  DAMN!  I didn't get out to see Dead Man's Chest last night!  That's what I should have done.  I could have gone to a midnight showing of it!  Rats!!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Gina

Shouldn't we just skip National Nude day?  And National Sugar Cookie day, why not do that one in December near Christmas?  Why didn't anyone consult me on these issues?

Notice how Parents Day comes at the end of July...just about entering the dog days of August? Parents can't win...never.  Go ahead dream your dream of chocolate....you best not head for Hersey PA in your state of mind.  Sandi http://journals.aol.com/sdoscher458/LifeIsFullOfSurprises
