DREAMS VS. GOALS

Someone at work pointed out that I was too negative.

"I am positively NOT negative!  I'm very positive about my negatives, thank you very much!"

I took a Positive Thinking class in high school eons ago.  I wasn't the teacher's pet, I was more like her pet peeve.

"Think positive child!"  she used to sing in my face.  "Don't waste time on dreams.  Take your fantasies and turn them into goals!"

I got a C in her class, but I never forgot her lessons, or the spittle speckled speeches delivered so passionately 6 inches from my face on an almost daily basis.

"Take your fantasies and turn them into goals."

Hey, it works!  I am now the proud owner of a new-used Nikon D70 of my own (again).  What's next on my list of ... goals?

Hmmmm, I'm thinking it will be a little bit harder to sneak Viggo Mortensen and Sam Sheppard into the house than it was the camera.  Oh well, I'll deal with that bridge when I get to it.  In the mean time I've got a little positive thinking to do.... and a whole lotta goal gettin'!

Yeah!  I think my hubby might notice if John Mayer showed up at the house!  But I think he'd be ok with the Nikon!  LOL

I used to have a teacher that constantly threw my IQ up in my face, always telling me that I wasn't living up to my potential...I wish teachers wouldn't do that. I'm living just fine, who needs potential? Love your graphic she's my idol...love, Sandi

LOL...  You just reminded me one of my high school teachers!  They used to put rocks in her coffee, and she never noticed--strange.  Good luck on those goals!  Let me know how you snuck those two in your house!  :)  Julie

YOU negative!? are they nuts! You're the funniest person I know. No negative person can take the crap in life and twist it into the humorous (sp?) things you do.

You positively should have put a twinkie on her chair - the goal would have been for her to sit on it-  I believe hot flashes lower the heating bill...
