SPREAD YOUR WINGS......

I just got off of the phone with one of Dickidoo's friends.  This friend had recently contacted Zachary about a job offer, which Zack accepted.  A job offer in Florida.  Zack leaves on Monday for two months.  He won't be here to celebrate his 20th birthday on the 18th.

Dickidoo's friend was concerned.  I think he felt guilty about taking my boy away from me.  He asked me how I felt about Zack going so far away for so long.  I didn't even hesitate before answering.

"Quite honestly, my first reaction was... 2 down, 3 to go!" I replied.

I didn't mean it.  I already miss my Little Zack Muscles, and he's not even gone.  He understands and even appreciates my sarcastic sense of humor.  Who will tolerate me while he's gone?  Zachary is so excited about the job.  Its great pay, its room and board, its a two month long vacation away from the family.  Its an adventure with a paycheck.  Its an opportunity.

Oh, the places he'll see, the things he will do.

And maybe... just maybe he'll find me a future daughter in law!

Just as long as he finds one willing to move to Colorado!  Good for Zach.  It will be a great experience.

Dorn,
There must be something in the Colorado air.  My son is moving out of the house into his own apartment next month.  Of course, I should mention that he is only moving into Boulder, only 7 miles away.  I'm not looking for a DIL yet.

David

It is a great opportunity!!  Kudos to you for allowing him the wings to fly.  Whether he's homesick, or doesn't miss you a single minute (which I doubt), he will have gained experiences of a lifetime!

My daughter says there are plenty of jobs in San Antonio should he change his mind about Florida...lol...

Oh they do have to try their wings Mommy. At least in todays world Zach can keep in touch with you via the computer, phone etc. The libraries down here all have wonderful computers that you can use for free, remind him of that. What part of Florida will he be in? Joe and I are in the ST.Pete/Tampa area if he ever needed anything....I feel like an old aunt anyway..lol....It's hard when they leave the nest, my older two are up in New York, my baby is still here but has his own place now. Can't keep them as babies too long....take it easy...love, Sandi

I dread seeing my kids one day flying from the nest; but it's something we gotta do!  What a great opportunity for him!  He will learn so much! Most likely, he will miss you, lots..  :)  Julie

Well if its only 2 months that is good, so you know he will come back home soon.  You seem to be itching for more grand babies, you already have him getting married...lol
Take care
