FULL MOON

I get the AOL Skywatcher Alerts, and today I got a message stating that tonight was a full moon.  And not just any full moon, but a Full Beaver Moon!  Okay, I'm not even guess on that one! Now I'll admit, I am superstitious to a certain degree, and full moon madness is one superstition that I believe in.  There may not be any scientific data to support it, but I have worked in retail for over a decade and I have noticed a trend.  People really do get crazy when there is a full moon!  Today was bad enough with the after-Thanksgiving shopping frenzy, but to top it off with a full moon just made it worse!  I'm thinking the name 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' is an apt name for a day like today.  I got up way too early, had way too little sleep, my caffeine levels were dangerously low and people were just nuts.  But I didn't get arrested or fired, and I got the last laugh.... I had all of their money, and they went home with stuff they didn't want... they just bought it all because it was on sale!  Ahhhhh woooooooo!

I used to work reatail ( until 2 weeks ago, I quit so I could concentrate on Massage therapy school.  I know, get in in line behind everyone else!)and DH works in a Pysch ER.   and we can both tell you that when the moon is full the nuts are out.  MY dds Psychiatrist disagrees with us. I think that is because he sees the nuts everyday that each day looks the same to him!

I agree. The full moon brings out all the crazies. I'm dreading working this evening. Nothing better than a bunch of drunks and the full moon . Not a good combination.
Have a great day.

Good for YOU! I had to brave the scene for an extension cord...LOL...I talked to more than one sales associate that still had the blessings of the holidays! Glad to see you made it too! Nightmare on retail street....new movie idea!!!! LOL.

I agree, there is something about a full moon!  I braved a crowd yesterday morning but it was for a sale that was too good to pass up.  I never do the day after Thanksgiving shopping thing typically, and won't do it again.  I was fortunate to not have to witness any mad, crazy idiots and the sales people I dealt with were awesome!

Hey Dorn. Thanks for the comment. I hope your Thanksgiving was a safe and Happy one. Mine wasn't. It was a distaster. But I survived. I so love this journal. I hope you get a place for your stuff soon. And I could picture a bathroom with a swivel toilet.... LOL!!!! Earlene

It's so nice to be back online.  It's also nice to get the alerts on your journal once again.  I love your humor and have missed it.  Have a great weekend my friend. :)

You know what ranks right up there with that Dorn?  Working the customer service desk on December 26th!  Ugh!  Everyone standing in line for an hour waiting to return crappy gifts, they aren't so nice when they get to the counter!  LOL!  But, alas, I have worked "Black Friday" as well!  LOL!  Glad you survived!!  And stayed out of jail!!  LOL!!!

Trust me, I work in the ER, the full moon brings out, um should I say, nicely, the "unstable". It is no joke, and no wives tale. It is the truth!!!!

Me; I hate full moons!  I do however, also wonder where they come up with all those fancy names for the full moons.  Everytime there's a full moon, I cautiously look in the mirror expecting the worst and sure enough, I have "That Face full of hair".  It's not really a curse though because it comes in handy around Xmas time. lol
