THE IRAQI VOTE

I wish the very best to the Iraqi people in their first election as a free nation.  May they find the peace and freedom they so deserve.  I pray for their safety, and for the safe return of all our brave service men and women who are there to support their new government and way of life.  May God bless Iraq as God has blessed America!

Amen. I am so happy for them. I read it in the paper yesterday and I cried. Yes, I'm a crier, so sue me! LOL.

I wish I had the bravery that all those soldiers and Iraqi people have in one little finger.

I saw one of the pictures in the AOL news story...hundreds of Iraqis...walking to vote.  The emotional impact of that picture...it just floored me.

It's ironic we in this country fight for their right to vote and they turn out a huge vote.....look what normally happens here ?? tell someone in this country that you have to walk ten miles even 1 mile to vote....what do you think would happen? We have to stop taking liberty & freedom for granted.  It was hard fought for, hard earned by the lives of those who went before us.  I'm really happy that the Iraqi people have their chance and I wish the country well.  Sandi
