HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECCA!

Today is my oldest daughter's birthday.  For her birthday I've asked her to do the dishes.  Hey, someone has to do them, and I have to go to work.  (Hi Becca...hehehehehe!... I just put that in here because I know she reads this).  Sooooo, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!  She doesn't want a birthday cake, she wants a pumpkin pie!  I don't know what it is about birthday cakes that my kids don't like... Rocky wanted a cheesecake, Art wanted a pizza!  Me... I LOVE birthday cakes!  Especially if my name is on it... I love to see my name up in lights!   By the way, I took that picture yesterday at the dirtbike track.  Those kids were just tearing up the place!  But they weren't the youngest ones there... there was a 5 year old boy there... he had training wheels on his tiny dirt bike, it was sooo cute!

Gabe leaves in 10 days.  I cry every time I hear that song Letters from Home on the radio, and he hasn't even left yet!  Steve is starting to act fatherly, he showed Gabe how to break down and clean a gun similar to what he'll be using in basic... and today he'll take him out to shoot it.  Every chance he gets he's giving Gabe advice.  Its so sweet, but he'll never admit it.

I still haven't pulled the carpetting off of the floor, but I guess I better get a move on it.  The kids are anxiously awaiting the day their big brother leaves so they can switch rooms around and get their own rooms.  When that happens my dining room shelves will be moved out of the dining room and into their bedrooms as extra storage, and I can start working on my kitchen... which won't happen until I pull up the carpeting in the dining room so I can move the racks from the kitchen out there!  Wish I could just wiggle my nose like Bewitched, or flick my ponytail like I Dream of Jeannie.... it would be so much easier!

83 days until Christmas.... Have you purchased your cyber-gift for your favorite Dust Bunny Herder yet?  I like blinkies and sparklies.
