FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS' MEMORIAL

We are so far away from the events of September 11th and yet so touched as Americans.  The International Fallen Firefighters Memorial is in Colorado Springs so we paid our respect to all those brave men and women who gave their lives on that tragic day in 2001.

I was listening to an account by a firefighter (or someone in the fire department) this morning, about how she had talked with 2 squads and went into the building with them.  She was the only one who came out.  It reminded me of the heroicism of the firefighters.  It amazes me how they can rush right into the chaos, knowing they might never come out, and it's worth it to them if they can just save one life.

I listened to countless stories..and I just sat and wept for those brave souls who probably knew deep down they were not coming out....heroism at its finest.

God Bless,
Marsha

I have been grieving all day...it seems worst this year than last year for some reason...maybe because this year we did not go to any services for it...

Just checking in.  Haven't been in for about a week.  Read all the way down to where I left off... You've been busy!

Hope you had a great week.  Hope the one coming up is better!
